Washington CFS Q2 2024 Highlights

Washington Dept of Ecology reported Q2 CFS data last week reporting an estimated net credit generation of 440k MT bringing the credit bank to over 1.8 million MT or about 7 quarters worth of deficits in the credit bank.

note: WA Dept of Ecology did not report non-metered EV residential charging for Q1+Q2, which makes up 25+% of total credits, thus respective credits have been added prorated against gasoline demand

Credit Generation

Credit generation is on the path to doubling from Q1 2023 as roughly 700k MT of credits were generated in Q2 2024. The ‘Washington Big 3’ (Ethanol, Electricity, RD) make up 90+% of credit generation.
